Last year we concentrated on where we live with the Me on the Map unit. This year we will be taking an imaginary trip around the world. We will visit each continent and Sean will learn about some of the countries and how children live around the world. Some of the topics we'll cover are flags, foods, music, language, and animals. This past week we did something very important to begin this unit. Before you can travel the world, you need a passport. So Sean made one. As we visit the different countries, he will get his passport stamped.
I've been thinking about this unit since last year, just waiting for the right time. One of the things that I thought of is something that you can help with. I think that it would be so much fun for Sean to get post cards or pictures from around the world. I recently set up a P.O. box for him.
