Pregnancy Update: 26 Weeks 3 Days and Ultrasound!

Today I'm 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant. For the most part, I feel pretty good! The heartburn has started but someone suggested peppermint candies and boy do they work! Another plus is they are much more tastier than Tums. The lower back pain has also started but it's getting better thanks to my chiropractor and using a birth ball more. I wish I had thought to go to a chiropractor during my other two pregnancies! Jellybean is still such an active baby! Well, until someone puts their hand on my belly and then all is still. lol I'm loving every minute of it. It's such a wonderful feeling. Names...we're really slacking that. We have a couple girl names but nothing we're 100% set on. Thankfully we still have time. Today I had my ultrasound. The tech told us to look away at the right times so Jellybean's sex is still a mystery to us. I'm really looking forward to discovering that on his/her birthday. I'm still leaning toward boy though.

Madison's 3D Ultrasound

Maddy was very cooperative. We got a 20 minute DVD and a CD with about 40 images...I picked a few to share with yall. We got to see her blink her eyes, stick her tongue out, lick her cord and smile. They were also able to tell that she has hair. So here's a few pictures:

38 week update

I went to the doctor yesterday so here's a little update...

I had an ultrasound and Peanut's about 6 lbs 13 oz...that's quite a bit of growing he did...in 3 weeks he gained about 1 lb 12 oz.

I am now 2 centimeters, 50% effaced and Peanut is half way in my pelvis (I swear it feels like he can't get any lower without coming out but I guess I'm wrong! )...the doctor says that that is a big change for just a week so he thinks that it won't be long before I go into labor! I'm hoping he's right because I am getting very anxious...I'm ready to have Peanut in my arms!!

Ultrasound

Last week my doctor ordered an ultrasound for today. It had been the second appointment (so it had been about a month) that I had measured 2 weeks behind...I had been either measuring ahead by a week or right where I should be. He wanted me to have an ultrasound done to check how big Peanut was...make sure he was growing right. So I went in this afternoon and he's about 5 lbs 1 oz...ultrasound tech said he's in the 24th percentile. We also found out that he's head down and very low. Guess he's getting ready!!! He was, as always, stubborn but I did get a couple of pictures...remember he is cramped in there. lol

Semi-random thought: Since he weighs 5 lbs 1 oz and I've only gained about 6 lbs, all my weight gain plus some more has gone to him...him (~5 lbs), the placenta (~1.5 lbs) and amniotic fluid (~2 lbs).

Stubborn boy!!

I had my 3D/4D ultrasound this afternoon and Peanut once again proved to be stubborn!! He kept his hands near his face and faced the placenta the whole time. We got to see him open and shut his mouth, suck on his fingers and play with his feet. We did get a good profile shot but that was about it. I'll be going back on August 10th for a second one at no additional charge!! We thought this would be the last ultrasound so atleast I'll be able to see him again before he's born!!!

I just new it!!! I had my big ultrasound today and...

It's a boy!!!!!

He is not modest at all. All he wanted to do was show us his butt and hide his face. He was either very stubborn or very laidback today because he was very content on staying where he was. He didn't want to more around for better pictures.

The Big Announcement!!!

The big announcement is...

I'm pregnant!!!!!

Yep! I'm due November 6th! DH and I are beyond excited! We found out right before my birthday. It was the best birthday gift ever! About two weeks later I had my first doctors appointment. It took forever but the doctor said he was going to do an ultrasound. At six weeks you can't see much but we did see the heartbeat! It was so amazing! I went back to the doctor this morning. I'm 10 weeks. Everything looks great and I got a quick peak at our little peanut. They were only going to use the doppler to hear the heartbeat but our little one had other plans. The doctor found the heartbeat and immediately lost it. As he put it... "So, you're(baby) going to give us a hard time, huh?". So, he then pulled out the ultrasound machine. As soon as the doctor put the ultrasound on me, the baby jumped...almost completely out of view. But we were able to see the heartbeat which looked very good. I didn't get a print out this time since it was only a quick peak to see the heartbeat but here's what I saw at 6 weeks...

The baby is the oval on the left. The circle on the right is the yolk sac. You can see a white line on the right of the baby, right in the middle, that is where we saw the heartbeat.
